In Exodus 16 the people called the bread from heaven manna (meaning “what is it?”). It was white, like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. (Ex. 16.31) The white color speaks to the purity of Jesus. The honey taste speaks to the sweet sustenance that He provides.
Psalm 34.8-10 says:
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
and 1 Peter 2.2-3 says:
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
Use this is your prayer time this week! Thank God for his wonderful provision in Jesus Christ. Ask him to show you how he “tastes good”. You will be blessed by his answers to you!!
